Putra Ladianta's Guguh Suwandi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darwin Ohorella in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Putra Ladianta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honestra Ibrahim to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Siswanto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Ahdiyat Setiamiharja when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ahdiyat Setiamiharja made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Tanji Kertaradjasa sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, PSI Gunungsawar's Ahdiyat Setiamiharja got control of the ball when Ricardo Siswanto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Putra Ladianta's Rafli Witarsa in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ahdiyat Setiamiharja was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for PSI Gunungsawar through an amazing save. If Darwin Ohorella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Andre Birawa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guguh Suwandi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Ricardo Siswanto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putra Ladianta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Siswanto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Siswanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ansyari Dewantara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Guguh Suwandi managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when PSI Gunungsawar's Andre Birawa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Putra Ladianta's Guguh Suwandi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ansyari Dewantara in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, PSI Gunungsawar's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Siswanto came free, but Ahdiyat Setiamiharja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Rafli Witarsa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, PSI Gunungsawar's goal looked a bit too open when Rafli Witarsa came free, but Ahdiyat Setiamiharja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
