Wahakayam FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dodo Asshidiq 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. A collision led to Wahakayam FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Asep Mallarangeng hit a great ball. Wahakayam FC's Edwin Puspito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kemal Chaniago in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Munawar Darusman made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ayi Sarumpaet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wahakayam FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Munawar Darusman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. Pakedjen FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Munawar Darusman scored to the left of an out of position Jamil Batubara, making the score, 1-2. The supporters of Pakedjen FC booed when Wahakayam FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Tampubolon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Dodo Asshidiq managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pakedjen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dodo Asshidiq was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin Puspito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Wahakayam FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dodo Asshidiq came free, but Edwin Puspito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Wahakayam FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wahakayam FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
