The referee ignored Batoepasang's protests and gave Cucu Pitoy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute Peter Alatas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Silaban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johan Silaban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilman Indrajit in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Peter Alatas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johan Silaban was relentless in the 21st minute of the game.
