When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Dikdik Marpaung took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Purnomo Arwana to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalis Saputra in the 15th minute of play forced Batulicin FC's goalkeeper Poniman Eibe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Dikdik Marpaung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adi Ludianto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Purnomo Arwana having to interfere. Poniman Eibe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Handoko Giroth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Purnomo Arwana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adi Ludianto's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Adi Ludianto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Batulicin FC's Dikdik Marpaung got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Handoko Giroth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, PS Djapura's Handoko Giroth ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Poniman Eibe. Poniman Eibe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. PS Djapura's Purnomo Arwana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adi Ludianto in the 65th minute of play. Batulicin FC's Poniman Eibe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Batulicin FC from getting a goal against them. Purnomo Arwana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adi Ludianto in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PS Djapura's Aming Sarbini got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Adi Ludianto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Purnomo Arwana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PS Djapura's zone, Dikdik Marpaung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Purnomo Arwana came out of the goal and Dikdik Marpaung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Winky Zudika during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Purnomo Arwana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adi Ludianto in the 89th minute of play. Handoko Giroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Poniman Eibe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Batulicin FC got a freekick which was hit by Ardha Haryanto Ie. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batulicin FC's goalkeeper Poniman Eibe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Khalis Saputra struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Poniman Eibe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PS Djapura. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
