In the 6th match minute, Ngori was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoppie Zayyinulhak to maneuver through the defense. PSP Sandada's Mansyur Himawan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ngori. Ngori's Awaludin Yarangga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by I Putu Moerdani in the 9th minute of play. Dwi Karnawan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ebieth Bangun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Arthur Leonard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PSP Sandada and the Ngori players grew even worse after the yellow card.
