The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Putra Kidoelpasar's goalkeeper M. Agus Kartiwa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. M. Agus Kartiwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Awan Suryata, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Haris Herlambang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Kahlil Basuki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Yaris Sadikin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. M. Agus Kartiwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Hutagalung, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haris Herlambang in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yaris Sadikin saved PSP Kedongmundu from getting behind. After 25 minutes, Haris Herlambang made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. PSP Kedongmundu's Yaris Sadikin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. M. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Awan Suryata to make the kick off. Yaris Sadikin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Tirtayasa in the 51st minute of play. Putra Kidoelpasar's M. Agus Kartiwa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Awan Suryata in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dindin Sumarwoto in the 54th minute of play forced Putra Kidoelpasar's goalkeeper M. Agus Kartiwa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Putra Kidoelpasar's goal looked a bit too open when Awan Suryata came free, but M. Agus Kartiwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dindin Sumarwoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Awan Suryata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSP Kedongmundu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Awan Suryata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Awan Suryata in the 68th minute of play forced Putra Kidoelpasar's goalkeeper M. Agus Kartiwa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Awan Suryata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PSP Kedongmundu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 75 minutes into the match, PSP Kedongmundu's Dindin Sumarwoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that M. Agus Kartiwa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dindin Sumarwoto in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck M. Agus Kartiwa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, one of PSP Kedongmundu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Yaris Sadikin, was totally fooled by Putra Kidoelpasar's Dandung Sophian, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kahlil Basuki in the 85th minute of play forced PSP Kedongmundu's goalkeeper Yaris Sadikin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Putra Kidoelpasar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sugih Surapradja to maneuver through the defense. Irul Hasudungan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haris Herlambang got free with Yaris Sadikin in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Putra Kidoelpasar eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
