The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Johannes Sulistyono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. Johannes Sulistyono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramang Budiarto having to interfere. Ali Sahilatua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ebieth Zamzam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bagong Faturrahman came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Legon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bagong Faturrahman couldn't finish the play. Ali Sahilatua's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ebieth Zamzam firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ramang Budiarto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Sulistyono in the 23rd minute of play. Ramang Budiarto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Syauqi Rumba went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Keoerea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bagong Faturrahman came free, but Ebieth Zamzam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramang Budiarto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Sulistyono in the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Legon FC got a freekick which was hit by Doyok Subiyakto. Ramang Budiarto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Syauqi Rumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 minutes, Atang Kamajaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Keoerea FC and the Legon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.

In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Keoerea FC's goalkeeper Ebieth Zamzam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Sahilatua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Ali Sahilatua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Sahilatua ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Legon FC had won after a very even match.
