Roni Juandi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, one of Katang:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Buaka a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by I Nyoman Barkawi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Katang's Eep Souisa. 0-1. Trisna Kurnia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Katang booed when Buaka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jajang Sahuleka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aceng Tanujaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eep Souisa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iswadi Zumarnis might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umar Muchtaji. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iswadi Zumarnis ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the match, Buaka's goalkeeper Umar Muchtaji had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iswadi Zumarnis. Katang's Iswadi Zumarnis got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iswadi Zumarnis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Umar Muchtaji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iswadi Zumarnis in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umar Muchtaji saved Buaka from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ardhika Mahendra during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Katang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardhika Mahendra to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Katang's goal looked a bit too open when Miftah Simanjuntak came free, but Eep Souisa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Aceng Tanujaya came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Buaka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aceng Tanujaya couldn't finish the play. If Iswadi Zumarnis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Miftah Simanjuntak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buaka's supporters rose to their feet, but Miftah Simanjuntak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eep Souisa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aceng Tanujaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aceng Tanujaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
