The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nugie Heryuwono during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Nugie Heryuwono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Widodo Budjana's late challenge caught a Putra Japara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Widodo Budjana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Detem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Widodo Budjana to maneuver through the defense. When Ramang Patha fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Putra Japara's protests and gave Ramang Patha a yellow card for diving instead. 10 minutes into the match, Tintus Sucipto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Detem's Diki Mangkudikusumah. Diki Mangkudikusumah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diki Mangkudikusumah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramang Patha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Detem's zone, Tintus Sucipto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diki Mangkudikusumah came out of the goal and Tintus Sucipto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diki Mangkudikusumah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramang Patha, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Tintus Sucipto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Detem getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Widodo Budjana hit a great ball. Diki Mangkudikusumah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramang Patha in the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramang Patha in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diki Mangkudikusumah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Putra Japara booed when Detem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Udin Sugiono didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes Detem's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adeng Ariwibowo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Abraham Subagio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ramang Patha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diki Mangkudikusumah having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Todung Revaldy made the kick off in the second half. In the last second Uu Sungkar throw himself and got hold of the ball when Todung Revaldy in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When M. Andik Cundaya came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Detem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that M. Andik Cundaya couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Adeng Ariwibowo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramang Patha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diki Mangkudikusumah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Cornel Wijatmiko kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Uu Sungkar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from M. Andik Cundaya went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, Udin Sugiono was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Detem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putra Japara the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Udin Sugiono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Detem's Diki Mangkudikusumah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tintus Sucipto in the 85th minute of play. Diki Mangkudikusumah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tintus Sucipto went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
