After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Edyana Hardjasoemantri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kedungtoms's supporters rose to their feet, but Edyana Hardjasoemantri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gungun Wijanarko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 18 minutes, Icang Witarsa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSP Janada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Icang Witarsa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Tirtajaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Darso Sukmana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kedungtoms and the PSP Janada players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Kedungtoms was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darso Sukmana to maneuver through the defense. When Ian Sonneville fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PSP Janada's protests and gave Ian Sonneville a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PSP Janada getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ian Sonneville hit a great ball. Edyana Hardjasoemantri scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gungun Wijanarko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Unang Abidin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gungun Wijanarko. PSP Janada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, PSP Janada's Jaka Mahmudi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franky Souisa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Porman Ashraff's late challenge caught a PSP Janada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Porman Ashraff helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Porman Ashraff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Kedungtoms's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Tirtajaya came free, but Franky Souisa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Kedungtoms were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edyana Hardjasoemantri to make the kick off. Gungun Wijanarko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abas Maspaitella in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Kedungtoms's Edyana Hardjasoemantri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gungun Wijanarko. That made the score 1-3 after 55 minutes of play. Abas Maspaitella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gungun Wijanarko having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in PSP Janada's zone, Abas Maspaitella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gungun Wijanarko came out of the goal and Abas Maspaitella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gungun Wijanarko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edyana Hardjasoemantri in the 62nd minute of the match. Abas Maspaitella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PSP Janada's Icang Witarsa got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unang Abidin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Franky Souisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Icang Witarsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Edyana Hardjasoemantri took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Gungun Wijanarko to make any attempt to save it. Franky Souisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Tirtajaya in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Christian Tirtajaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSP Janada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Tirtajaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Kedungtoms supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kedungtoms would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
