Rebiyana Irwansyah took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iszur Sumendap. Banjarbaru's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Ikhsan Kartasasmita fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banjarbaru's protests and gave Ikhsan Kartasasmita a yellow card for diving instead. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ponirin Muharam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusron Alatas in the 14th minute of play. Banjarbaru's Iszur Sumendap proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Banjarbaru from getting a goal against them. Sandy Wijoyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Iszur Sumendap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ponirin Muharam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yusron Alatas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yusron Alatas made a kick off. Ponirin Muharam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yusron Alatas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yeyen Riyadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ponirin Muharam having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Ikhsan Kartasasmita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ponirin Muharam quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sandy Wijoyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iszur Sumendap having to make a save. When Putra Babaoe's Sandy Wijoyo in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Banjarbaru's goalie prevented a goal. 72 minutes into the game, Yeyen Riyadi lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Ponirin Muharam. Irza Sutikno hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Banjarbaru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
