The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Izaak Wanandi put in a rough tackle. In the 9th minute, one of Purau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Purau. Kamarudin Sodikin placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ponaryo Tanonaka kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a little luck, Purau's Artha Rumba got control of the ball when Eri Adriansyah tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of PS Ciguriang booed when Purau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niki Sandiaji didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Purau booed when PS Ciguriang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yonas Warauw didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jehad Christiawan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artha Rumba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fajar Mustari in the 39th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jehad Christiawan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fajar Mustari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artha Rumba having to interfere. After 54 played minutes PS Ciguriang got a freekick which was hit by Yonas Warauw. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Purau's goalkeeper Artha Rumba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artha Rumba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eri Adriansyah, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Purau's Artha Rumba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fajar Mustari in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, PS Ciguriang's Kamarudin Sodikin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eri Adriansyah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
