Jamal Gutawa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes, Meulinteung FC's Tito Pinontoan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rustam Raweyai came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Meulinteung FC reached it. 21 minutes into the match, Meulinteung FC's goalkeeper Samai Fuadi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dasep Napitupulu. Aan Anjasmara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rustam Raweyai having to interfere. Rustam Raweyai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aan Anjasmara in the 32nd minute of play. Koko Mangkunagara charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Koko Mangkunagara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Meulinteung FC's Koko Mangkunagara got a free kick in the 34th minute. A collision led to Meulinteung FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Vennard Hardjasoemantri hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Meulinteung FC. Tito Pinontoan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rustam Raweyai. 0-1. Rustam Raweyai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aan Anjasmara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jamal Gutawa made a kick off.
