The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Syamsir Adnyana got free with Ridho Mangkulangit in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ansyari Anggakusuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ujang Sitanggang, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Ujang Sitanggang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ujang Sitanggang might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ansyari Anggakusuma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ujang Sitanggang ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Dojobaroe FC's Ridho Mangkulangit got control of the ball when Syamsir Adnyana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Raymond Hasyim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wunis FC's Syamsir Adnyana got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, one of Dojobaroe FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dojobaroe FC. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Wunis FC. Abdika Tohir stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ridho Mangkulangit. 1-0. Ansyari Anggakusuma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hisar Chandrawinata in the 38th minute of the match. Ujang Sitanggang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ansyari Anggakusuma having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Raymond Hasyim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wunis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Hasyim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dojobaroe FC's Ridho Mangkulangit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Hasyim in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymond Hasyim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Irza Indrajit during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raymond Hasyim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ridho Mangkulangit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play.
