After 17 played minutes, PSM Latuhelu's Odoy Makatita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Piet Sukmara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PSM Latuhelu reached it. In the 18th match minute, PS Selebam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pance Akmal to maneuver through the defense. If Jossi Setiadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piet Sukmara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darwin Prastika, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the game, PS Selebam's Muchlis Wattimury nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jajat Tirtana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 34 minutes into the game, Adolf Tingkir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PSM Latuhelu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PS Selebam the free kick. I Nyoman Pane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. I Nyoman Pane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jajat Tirtana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, PSM Latuhelu's Adolf Tingkir got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jajat Tirtana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from I Nyoman Pane, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When Widodo Cahyono Putro fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PS Selebam's protests and gave Widodo Cahyono Putro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PSM Latuhelu booed when PS Selebam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Widodo Cahyono Putro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piet Sukmara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darwin Prastika in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to PS Selebam getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Widodo Cahyono Putro hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Darwin Prastika got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Jossi Setiadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Fachrul Iswanto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piet Sukmara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If I Nyoman Pane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes PSM Latuhelu got a freekick which was hit by Fachrul Iswanto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Muchlis Wattimury in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jajat Tirtana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When PS Selebam's Muchlis Wattimury in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PSM Latuhelu's goalie prevented a goal. Jajat Tirtana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from I Nyoman Pane in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 played minutes PS Selebam got a freekick which was hit by Pance Akmal. 86 minutes into the game, one of PS Selebam:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 2-1 came in the 88th minute when Egi Cahyadi all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Piet Sukmara. 96 minutes into the match, PS Selebam's goalkeeper Piet Sukmara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jossi Setiadi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muchlis Wattimury in the 99th minute of play forced PSM Latuhelu's goalkeeper Jajat Tirtana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The PS Selebam fans cheered their team off the field, for while PSM Latuhelu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
