The corner was taken by Bonggo Sentanu in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Bonggo Sentanu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maimawa's Dasep Kusumo did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Syahril Cahyono Putro managed to get in a good position for a shot. PS Penambuan's supporters rose to their feet, but Syahril Cahyono Putro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dasep Kusumo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Charles Simatupang fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maimawa's protests and gave Charles Simatupang a yellow card for diving instead. Charles Simatupang kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Gideon Suarlan fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. If Sugih Rumangkit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Sugih Rumangkit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PS Penambuan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sugih Rumangkit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, one of PS Penambuan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ruslan Dharmasakti placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Dodik Yarman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abuy Rumangkit in the 44th minute of play. Chairil Ismayana might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dodik Yarman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chairil Ismayana ran back to his position shaking his head. PS Penambuan's Dodik Yarman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abuy Rumangkit in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abuy Rumangkit was the one to do the kick off. When Coky Karo-karo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. Maimawa's Dasep Kusumo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Syauqi Tutuarima in the 59th minute of play. Chairil Ismayana hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Irza Arisandy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Maimawa's Ruslan Dharmasakti broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chairil Ismayana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dodik Yarman having to interfere. If Sugih Rumangkit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Maimawa walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
