Joshua Ginting charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joshua Ginting the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kamarudin Habibie in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertus Ruchiyat saved Blanten FC from getting behind. M. Ramdhan Wattimena kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, PSI Bangkakota's Firdaus Rahwana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albertus Ruchiyat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Indiana Aksan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Firdaus Rahwana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Albertus Ruchiyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, PSI Bangkakota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wahidin Muchtaji to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Indiana Aksan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blanten FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Indiana Aksan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilham Handoko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, PSI Bangkakota's Ignatius Aryanto got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ilham Handoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Sumpena in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marzuki Chandrawinata to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marzuki Chandrawinata in the 53rd minute of play forced Blanten FC's goalkeeper Albertus Ruchiyat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Blanten FC defense, Marzuki Chandrawinata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertus Ruchiyat. The Blanten FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertus Ruchiyat should have stopped the shot. Firdaus Rahwana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertus Ruchiyat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. If Marzuki Chandrawinata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marzuki Chandrawinata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Wahidin Muchtaji was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PSI Bangkakota's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blanten FC the free kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, PSI Bangkakota's Singgih Sumarwoto got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Gilbert Sumpena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilham Handoko having to interfere. Albertus Ruchiyat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firdaus Rahwana in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marzuki Chandrawinata in the 82nd minute of play forced Blanten FC's goalkeeper Albertus Ruchiyat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
