In the 19thth minute of the game Ari Novitraldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soekawana FC's Nuriana Marpaung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaya Kaisiepo struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ansyari Sudiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soekawana FC. 26 minutes into the match, Lambak's goal looked a bit too open when Septian Sugandi came free, but Ansyari Sudiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lambak's Harseno Tuanakota got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ari Novitraldi in the 28th minute of play forced Soekawana FC's goalkeeper Nuriana Marpaung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Avanti Karimudin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nuriana Marpaung was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Avanti Karimudin struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. After 33 played minutes Lambak got a freekick which was hit by Datuk Hasudungan. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jaya Kaisiepo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soekawana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaya Kaisiepo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ansyari Sudiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Jaya Kaisiepo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ansyari Sudiro. Lambak's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaya Kaisiepo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Jaya Kaisiepo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Soekawana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaya Kaisiepo couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Lambak:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Soekawana FC:s goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Soekawana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lambak the free kick. A collision led to Soekawana FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mansyur Taroreh hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Soekawana FC's zone, Avanti Karimudin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuriana Marpaung came out of the goal and Avanti Karimudin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Septian Sugandi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soekawana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Septian Sugandi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soekawana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaya Kaisiepo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Septian Sugandi in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ansyari Sudiro saved Lambak from getting behind. Ari Novitraldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 79 minutes, Septian Sugandi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soekawana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Septian Sugandi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ansyari Sudiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Septian Sugandi in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute Septian Sugandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ansyari Sudiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ari Novitraldi in the 92nd minute of play forced Soekawana FC's goalkeeper Nuriana Marpaung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soekawana FC's Nuriana Marpaung proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Soekawana FC from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
