Ayat Suryatna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulus Syukur having to interfere. Awaludin Hartono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Paulus Syukur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nugie Laturua in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaka Soeprapto saved Putra Sekaroe from getting behind. In the 48th match minute, Putra Sekaroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achyar Dollo to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Awaludin Hartono made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, PSB Batavia's goal looked a bit too open when Awaludin Hartono came free, but Paulus Syukur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Putra Sekaroe's Jaka Soeprapto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Adnyana in the 56th minute of play. Ayat Suryatna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Ayat Suryatna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putra Sekaroe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ayat Suryatna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Putra Sekaroe's Awaludin Hartono sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulus Syukur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
