In the 16th minute, Aga Sirait hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uu Ardisuta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Mangkubumi in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Dodik Pandelaki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tintus Setiana in the 27th minute of play forced Masambe's goalkeeper Boy Danuarta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
