Bobby Sutarman started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Sungaiamang's Ruhut Poerwonegoro threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Syahlan Rorimpandey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Eman Kartasapoetra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sungaiamang's Syauqi Wardhana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Sutarman in the 9th minute of play. Eman Kartasapoetra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruhut Poerwonegoro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, PSB Demak's Anthony Kaisiepo got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 23rd minute Syahlan Rorimpandey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruhut Poerwonegoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to PSB Demak getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Naufal Prayoga hit a great ball. Syauqi Wardhana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobby Sutarman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sayuti Saiman kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Radja Siregar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Anthony Kaisiepo fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PSB Demak's protests and gave Anthony Kaisiepo a yellow card for diving instead. Anthony Kaisiepo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Syahlan Rorimpandey made a kick off. A collision led to Sungaiamang getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the PSB Demak players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
