The audience thought a goal was coming when Nasir Tendean got free with Septian Sugiarto in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Jrakah FC's goalkeeper Septian Sugiarto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nasir Tendean. The supporters of Jrakah FC booed when Simpatdegat FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Itok Saroge didn't get a good kick on the ball. When I Nyoman Bayauw came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Jrakah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that I Nyoman Bayauw couldn't finish the play. Indro Sulaksana's late challenge caught a Jrakah FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Indro Sulaksana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, I Nyoman Bayauw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nyangnyang Hadiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Septian Sugiarto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu Kusudiarjo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Jrakah FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Simpatdegat FC:s goal. Septian Sugiarto had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Itok Saroge's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nyangnyang Hadiman to make the kick off. Nasir Tendean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Septian Sugiarto having to interfere. Nasir Tendean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Septian Sugiarto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jafar Baskara in the 88th minute of play forced Simpatdegat FC's goalkeeper Eddy Fingkreuw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Indro Sulaksana got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A hard shot 92 in the game by Dudu Kusudiarjo from a close distance when the talented Eddy Fingkreuw managed to make a qualified save. Simpatdegat FC's players were relieved. Nyangnyang Hadiman struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Septian Sugiarto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simpatdegat FC. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
