The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Putra Watuwai getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Agum Tupamahu hit a great ball. In the 10th match minute, Putra Watuwai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Sujana to maneuver through the defense. Kalahin's Harun Kusumo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muchsin Sugiono in the 11th minute of play. When Hendi Listiyantoro fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kalahin's protests and gave Hendi Listiyantoro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Hendi Listiyantoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Putra Watuwai were awarded a corner. Munawar Makariem went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Putra Watuwai's Adityo Ibrahim to fire away a dangerous shot which Harun Kusumo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 16th minute, Kalahin's Bento Utina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Uci Souisa. Uci Souisa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Muchsin Sugiono during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Muchsin Sugiono hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ibnu Maruanaya in the 22nd minute of play forced Kalahin's goalkeeper Harun Kusumo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uci Souisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Utina in the 27th minute of play. Ibnu Maruanaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harun Kusumo having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Kalahin got a freekick which was hit by Januar Soekarno. When Muchsin Sugiono came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Putra Watuwai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muchsin Sugiono couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the game, Sondang Lantang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Putra Watuwai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalahin the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Putra Watuwai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sondang Lantang to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
After having played for 56 minutes, Hatta Ardisuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalahin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hatta Ardisuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Putra Watuwai's Jonathan Bagaskara got a free kick in the 57th minute. Uci Souisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Utina, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of Kalahin booed when Putra Watuwai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Sujana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uci Souisa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hatta Ardisuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Sondang Lantang hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Putra Watuwai's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Utina came free, but Uci Souisa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ibnu Maruanaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uci Souisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hatta Ardisuta in the 76th minute of play. Hatta Ardisuta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ibnu Maruanaya came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Putra Watuwai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibnu Maruanaya couldn't finish the play. Encang Dinanto kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kalahin had won after a very even match.
