In the 12th match minute, PSM Biuwo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rendy Khalid to maneuver through the defense. Eko Handoko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Lamhot Mulyadi made a huge save. Arief Suryadinata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djati Tirtana in the 27th minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee showed Dandung Hasyim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. PSM Biuwo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Djati Tirtana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iram Leimena in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lamhot Mulyadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PSM Biuwo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
