In the 2nd minute, Fachrul Darwis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toyo Kalangi's late challenge caught a Djambi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toyo Kalangi helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Worei FC got a freekick which was hit by Toyo Kalangi. Harry Birawa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rinto Saragih. Worei FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Worei FC's Rinto Saragih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sukma Fachrurozi in the 23rd minute of play. Djambi's Jais Rusandi got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nurdin Marantika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rinto Kalengkongan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Djambi's goal looked a bit too open when Rinto Kalengkongan came free, but Nurdin Marantika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Worei FC's Rinto Saragih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jais Rusandi in the 34th minute of play. Djambi's Sukma Fachrurozi got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Ardian Supit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Worei FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Djambi the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Worei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardian Supit to maneuver through the defense. If Rinto Kalengkongan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jais Rusandi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 53 minutes, Sukma Fachrurozi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Djambi and the Worei FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Worei FC booed when Djambi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sukma Fachrurozi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rolly Sudarsono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Rinto Kalengkongan put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nurdin Marantika. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raden Mandias in the 63rd minute of play forced Djambi's goalkeeper Nurdin Marantika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jais Rusandi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rinto Saragih having to interfere. Nurdin Marantika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rinto Kalengkongan in the 74th minute of the match. Rinto Kalengkongan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nurdin Marantika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Worei FC. In the 77thth minute of the game Rinto Kalengkongan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djambi's Nurdin Marantika was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rinto Saragih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jais Rusandi in the 80th minute of play. If Rolly Sudarsono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nurdin Marantika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rinto Kalengkongan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Jais Rusandi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rinto Saragih. The goal made the score 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
