The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Jahfal Sutikno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PSB Waringit's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PSP Sengarit the free kick. A collision led to PSB Waringit getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. In the 10th match minute, PSP Sengarit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Fatahillah to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Yuli Pamungkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marzuki Pelani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arbud Kunaefi couldn't finish the play. Mario Salampessy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Kotto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luthfi Tuanakota in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario Salampessy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
