The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raka De Weerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Cicatang FC's goalkeeper Juliadi Da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raka De Weerd. In the 9th minute Saktiawan Sudarmaji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliadi Da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Raka De Weerd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putra Pasangkajoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raka De Weerd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yonas Anhar in the 13th minute of play forced Cicatang FC's goalkeeper Juliadi Da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yonas Anhar's late challenge caught a Cicatang FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yonas Anhar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Yonas Anhar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dani Noya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bima Danuarta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bima Danuarta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yonas Anhar came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juliadi Da Costa could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saktiawan Sudarmaji in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juliadi Da Costa saved Cicatang FC from getting behind. After having played for 27 minutes, Saktiawan Sudarmaji managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putra Pasangkajoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saktiawan Sudarmaji was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Putra Pasangkajoe's Saktiawan Sudarmaji made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juliadi Da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the game, Bima Danuarta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dani Noya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bima Danuarta made a kick off. In the 57th minute Raka De Weerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliadi Da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juliadi Da Costa came out of the goal and Saktiawan Sudarmaji tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute Raka De Weerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliadi Da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Putra Pasangkajoe got a freekick which was hit by Farhat Masduki. A hard shot 83 in the game by Oon Rantung from a close distance when the talented Dani Noya managed to make a qualified save. Putra Pasangkajoe's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Putra Pasangkajoe's Farhat Masduki got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Putra Pasangkajoe's goalkeeper Dani Noya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 96 minutes, Bima Danuarta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cicatang FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bima Danuarta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
