Tukul Sukardi charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tukul Sukardi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes PSP Gematar got a freekick which was hit by Tukul Sukardi. PSB Tapokreng's Samai Kaunang got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When PSB Tapokreng's Samai Kaunang in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in PSP Gematar's zone, Sapardi Panggabean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sunar Simbara came out of the goal and Sapardi Panggabean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the PSP Gematar defense, Samai Kaunang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sunar Simbara. The PSP Gematar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sunar Simbara should have stopped the shot. Samai Kaunang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sunar Simbara having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yanuar Zamzam made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, PSB Tapokreng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anang Luntungan to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the PSB Tapokreng defense, Cosmas Siahaan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ishaq Fitrianto. The PSB Tapokreng fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ishaq Fitrianto should have stopped the shot. After 63 played minutes PSP Gematar got a freekick which was hit by Sadam Sutarya. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Samai Kaunang managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSB Tapokreng's supporters rose to their feet, but Samai Kaunang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sunar Simbara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PSP Gematar's Marwal Tendean couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for PSB Tapokreng. Ishaq Fitrianto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmas Siahaan in the 68th minute of play. Ishaq Fitrianto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanuar Zamzam, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ishaq Fitrianto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmas Siahaan in the 82nd minute of the match. Sapardi Panggabean struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Sunar Simbara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSB Tapokreng. Ishaq Fitrianto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yanuar Zamzam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samai Kaunang struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Sunar Simbara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSB Tapokreng. After 89 minutes of play PSP Gematar's Tukul Sukardi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 90th minute, Tukul Sukardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ishaq Fitrianto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmas Siahaan in the 92nd minute of play.
