After 13 minutes, Panji Ie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cijengkol and the Ohoitahait FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Panji Ie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mandra Baso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sobur Fatary in the 16th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ohoitahait FC's Akbar Tanonaka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Syahril Haridinata. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Gilbert Guritno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cijengkol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Guritno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sobur Fatary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Ohoitahait FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sobur Fatary came free, but Mandra Baso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Guritno in the 42nd minute of play forced Ohoitahait FC's goalkeeper Mandra Baso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ohoitahait FC's Mandra Baso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panji Ie in the 45th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cijengkol's zone, Prabu Puspito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Syahril Haridinata came out of the goal and Prabu Puspito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Akbar Tanonaka was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ohoitahait FC's Komang Saiman got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gilbert Guritno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cijengkol's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Guritno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mandra Baso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cijengkol's Syahril Haridinata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prabu Puspito in the 61st minute of play. If Nuralim Meringgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Gilbert Guritno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mandra Baso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
