Ikhsan Budiono shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronald Asshidiq came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Telerong FC reached it. 18 minutes into the match, Telerong FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Yudhistira came free, but Ojat Pane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Nico Yudhistira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muaraaman FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Yudhistira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ojat Pane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronald Asshidiq made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Robyg Sofyan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Yudhistira in the 34th minute of play forced Telerong FC's goalkeeper Ojat Pane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Muaraaman FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gatot Jayadiningrat was the one to do the kick off. Fadhly Kuncoro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ojat Pane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Fadhly Kuncoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muaraaman FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fadhly Kuncoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Muaraaman FC's Fadhly Kuncoro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hastomo Dewa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, one of Muaraaman FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Muaraaman FC's Anthony Mandias got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Robyg Sofyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute.
