Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Đinh Van Quyen made the kick off which started today's match. Nguyễn Hieu came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hai Phong's Bùi Ritchell. But to his dismay, Bùi Ritchell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bùi Ritchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 minutes, Nguyễn Tuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nam Dinh and the Hai Phong players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Nguyễn Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nam Dinh's Đinh Van Quyen suffered a sore thigh after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Lưu Bien charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lưu Bien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lưu Bien hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Hai Phong's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tinh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trần Duc. Nguyễn Khoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Nguyễn Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Nguyễn Nam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nam Dinh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Nam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trần Dung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nguyễn Tinh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trần Duc got free with Nguyễn Tinh in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Huỳnh Khoi struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Nguyễn Tinh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nam Dinh. Ngô Tho kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Nguyễn Tinh made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Trần Duc sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Nguyễn Tinh managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Nam Dinh's Trần Duc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bùi Ritchell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Hieu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bùi Ritchell in the 47th minute of play forced Nam Dinh's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Hai Phong were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bùi Ritchell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Trần Dung ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nguyễn Tinh was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Trần Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tinh having to interfere. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hai Phong's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tinh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th match minute, Hai Phong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Anh Hung to maneuver through the defense. Trần Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nguyễn Tinh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Tinh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huỳnh Khoi in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Hai Phong booed when Nam Dinh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Bien didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Trần Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Khoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nguyễn Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nam Dinh's Trần Duc got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Hoang kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Nam Dinh were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
