In the 43rd of the match, Hoàng Loc tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Đỗ Duc got in the way and made a wonderful save. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Trần Thi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phạm Tinh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Saka's Phạm Tinh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Saka from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saka fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dien Bien Phu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
