Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) A sloppy throw-in by Đào Tinh in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh FC's Nguyễn Bay. Nguyễn Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nguyễn Loc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Nguyễn Thai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bu Dop's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Thai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bu Dop's zone, Võ Teo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Loc came out of the goal and Võ Teo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nguyễn Loc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Dong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thai in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Võ Teo was the one to do the kick off. Nguyễn Duy kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Trần Dong was a little too slow when Nguyễn Duy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-1. Võ Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Loc having to interfere. Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh FC's Trần Dong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Duy in the 69th minute of play. Nguyễn Bien kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh FC's Võ Teo tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute of the match, Nguyễn Thai got a very nice opportunity to score, but Trần Dong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Trần Dong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Duy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trần Dong was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nguyễn Duy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 90 minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
