After 27 played minutes Ha Nam got a freekick which was hit by Đinh Hoai. When Lê Tuan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Phu Tho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Tuan couldn't finish the play. Phu Tho's Nguyễn Than proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Phu Tho from getting a goal against them.
