Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lê Tấn Dũng kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Dien Bien. Trần Thuy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh. 0-1. Nguyễn Chi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Phan Phuong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Hieu Ngan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Quang Ngai's Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh. Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13thth minute of the game Lê Tấn Dũng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dien Bien's Phan Phuong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Nguyễn Chi came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Quang Ngai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Chi couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, Dien Bien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Hieu to maneuver through the defense. Võ Dong scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Chi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Phan Phuong firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Võ Dong made a kick off. A collision led to Dien Bien getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Nguyễn Duong hit a great ball. Phan Phuong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Chi's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dien Bien walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
