An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Thien in the 10th minute of play forced Cai Be's goalkeeper La Thanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Phu Yen booed when Cai Be was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Võ Viet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Hoàng Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
