Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Nguyễn Phuc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 9th minute of the match, Trần Loc got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nguyễn Phuc was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nguyễn Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Phuc having to interfere. Nguyễn Phuc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trần Loc in the 19th minute. Phạm Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nguyễn Thien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Võ Thuy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. In the 60th minute, Trần Loc made a precise shot to the right of Nguyễn Phuc. Ba Ria-Vung Tau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Trần Hong Minh hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Võ Thuy scored 1-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Thien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
