Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lê Hanh started the match with the kick off. Lê Hanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thuy having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Haiphong got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Cadeo. Lê Hanh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Haiphong's Bùi Phuc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Tan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nguyễn Thuy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Hanh in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Haiphong's zone, Lê Hanh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Thuy came out of the goal and Lê Hanh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, EscFail United's Đặng Hung nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Thuy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bùi Phuc in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Tan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Nguyễn Phuoc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lê Hanh came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the EscFail United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Hanh couldn't finish the play. Đặng Hung could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Nguyễn Thuy made a huge save. Nguyễn Thuy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Hanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th play minute Đặng Hung came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nguyễn Thuy. 2-0. The supporters of EscFail United booed when Haiphong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Thuy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nguyễn Thuy. The goal made the score 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bùi Phuc was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bùi Phuc in the 54th minute of play forced EscFail United's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Lê Hanh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haiphong's Nguyễn Thuy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Haiphong's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Hanh came free, but Nguyễn Thuy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Thuy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Hanh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68thth minute of the game Lê Hanh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haiphong's Nguyễn Thuy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute Lê Hanh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thuy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bùi Phuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haiphong's Nguyễn Thuy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đặng Hung in the 82nd minute of play. When EscFail United's Lê Hanh in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Haiphong's goalie prevented a goal. If Đặng Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Hanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Lê Hanh managed to get in a good position for a shot. EscFail United's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Hanh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Thuy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that EscFail United were the better team. EscFail United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
