A collision led to Huế getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Trần Than hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Huỳnh Diem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dương Tuan was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Nguyễn Binh could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Dương Tuan however easily saved by the left post. Lê Lien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Dung in the 34th minute of the match. Nguyễn Dung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Dung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lê Lien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nguyễn Dung to strike the kick off in the second half. Dương Tuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Binh in the 53rd minute of play. Huỳnh Diem kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Huế's Phạm Loc got a free kick in the 58th minute. Phạm Chuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Bắc Giang:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Huế:s goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huế's goalkeeper Dương Tuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Huỳnh Diem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bắc Giang's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Diem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dương Tuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phạm Chuong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bắc Giang's Lê Lien got control of the ball when Phạm Chuong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nguyễn Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Lien having to interfere. Bắc Giang's Lê Lien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Than in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Dung in the 94th minute of play forced Bắc Giang's goalkeeper Lê Lien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Huế's Lê Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 95th minute.
