Tạ Nam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Nguyễn Duong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Trần Minh Phượng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Triệu Lien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind NMT's goalkeeper Nguyễn Duong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 91 played minutes Ben Tre got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Cuc. NMT's Nguyễn Duong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tạ Nam in the 94th minute of play. Ben Tre's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
