Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Trần Than got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Lai Chau's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Hieu Ngan came free, but Nguyễn Hoang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hoang having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Hieu Ngan in the 12th minute of play forced Lai Chau's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hoang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Trần Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hoang having to interfere. A collision led to Tan An getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Huỳnh Tuan Hoang hit a great ball. Phan Minh charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phan Minh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Phan Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Hieu Ngan in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Hoang saved Lai Chau from getting behind. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Quang Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phạm Duc to make the kick off. Phạm Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Hoang having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Nguyễn Quang Thanh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lai Chau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Quang Thanh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phạm Duc in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trần Hoang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trần Hoang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phạm Duc's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes in the game, Nguyễn Hieu Ngan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nguyễn Hoang having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Trần Than kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nguyễn Hoang. That made the score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. Trần Than recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Trần Than had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nghiêm Ho charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nghiêm Ho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th match minute, Lai Chau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nghiêm Ho to maneuver through the defense. Trần Than struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Nguyễn Hoang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tan An. 78 minutes into the game, Lưu Chung was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lai Chau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tan An the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Lai Chau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lưu Chung to maneuver through the defense. Trần Than could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Hoang made a huge save. In the 81st minute of the match, Trần Than tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nguyễn Hoang saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Nguyễn Hieu Ngan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Phạm Duc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nguyễn Hoang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Than in the 90th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tan An walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
