In the 32nd minute, Hoàng Minh reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mai Tuyet. The goal made the score 1-2. Lê Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Nam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Trần Thi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mai Tuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 68th minute of the match, Nguyễn Thien tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lê Hung saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. PhucNguyenVu's Nguyễn Nam got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Thien in the 75th minute of play forced Da Lat's goalkeeper Lê Hung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Viet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Da Lat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PhucNguyenVu the free kick. Hoàng Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute.
