The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hồ Tu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Binh in the 3rd minute of play. Nguyễn Minh-ha's late challenge caught a HK-Mobile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Minh-ha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of HK-Mobile booed when Quang Ngai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Minh-ha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lê Viet in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vũ Teo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Triệu Dinh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vũ Teo having to interfere. In the 14th minute Triệu Dinh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vũ Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, HK-Mobile's Đoàn Anh Hung got a free kick in the 15th minute. Vũ Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Viet, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Nguyễn Thai kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, HK-Mobile's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Viet came free, but Vũ Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lê Viet hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Lê Binh came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the HK-Mobile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Binh couldn't finish the play. In the 77thth minute of the game Lê Binh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quang Ngai's Hồ Tu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Triệu Dinh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
