Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hai Phong's Phạm Thien started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Trần Nghiêm-Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Hai Phong's Võ Hoa got control of the ball when Phan Phu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trần Loc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Phạm Thien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Nguyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Cuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hoàng Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Trần Nguyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoàng Cuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trần Nguyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phạm Thien, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Phạm Thien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Nguyet having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Loc in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Võ Hoa saved Hai Phong from getting behind. Phan Minh hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Hoàng Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Loc struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Võ Hoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuyen Quang. In the 44th minute Phạm Thien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Nguyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hai Phong's Phạm Thien got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phạm Thien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Nguyet having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Trần Loc made the kick off in the second half. Đặng Viet kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Trần Loc fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tuyen Quang's protests and gave Trần Loc a yellow card for diving instead. Trần Loc hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Võ Hoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Loc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, Hai Phong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Cong Vinh to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Loc in the 61st minute of play forced Hai Phong's goalkeeper Võ Hoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Phan Phu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Võ Hoa. Hai Phong's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phan Phu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 70 minutes into the match, Hai Phong's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Phu came free, but Võ Hoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lê Tho kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Hoàng Cuc struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Trần Nguyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hai Phong. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Phạm Thien notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tuyen Quang's Trần Nguyet. Trần Nguyet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Phu in the 86th minute of play forced Hai Phong's goalkeeper Võ Hoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Phan Phu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tuyen Quang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phan Phu couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Phan Phu made a precise shot to the right of Võ Hoa. Hai Phong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Phạm Thien fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hai Phong's protests and gave Phạm Thien a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hai Phong getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Phạm Thien hit a great ball. Tuyen Quang were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hai Phong for a fine match.
