Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Trần Hoang made the kick off and thus started the match. With a little luck, Gia Nghia's Trần Hieu Ngan got control of the ball when La Tan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phạm Quang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Tấn Dũng having to make a save. Trần Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tấn Dũng having to interfere. Mui Ne's Trần Quang Thanh got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trần Quang Thanh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vương Minh Phượng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Trần Hieu Ngan made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Quang in the 21st minute of play forced Mui Ne's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tấn Dũng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Phạm Quang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tấn Dũng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phạm Quang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Tấn Dũng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Trần Hoang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by La Tan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 34th minute, Đoàn Nam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mui Ne's Hoàng Dung got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Huỳnh Liem shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Tấn Dũng showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vương Minh Phượng kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Quang Thanh made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Trần Hoang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Gia Nghia defense, La Tan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trần Hieu Ngan. The Gia Nghia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trần Hieu Ngan should have stopped the shot. If Phạm Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Trần Hoang in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With his leg Nguyễn Tấn Dũng managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Gia Nghia's Phạm Quang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Trần Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hoàng Dung during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Gia Nghia's Huỳnh Liem tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Phạm Quang came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gia Nghia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phạm Quang couldn't finish the play. The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 92nd minute, where Gia Nghia:s Huỳnh Liem tricked Mui Ne:s Nguyễn Tấn Dũng with a difficult ball by the left post. Despite being the better team, Gia Nghia failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
