The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Hung got free with Lê Tran in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Hung's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lê Tran was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. A hard shot 13 in the game by Nguyễn Hung from a close distance when the talented Lê Tran managed to make a qualified save. Argravy's players were relieved. Nguyễn Nga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Nga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Hung in the 21st minute of play forced Argravy's goalkeeper Lê Tran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Dinh kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Lê Tran acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Trần Thi Ngoc. In the 24th minute, Nguyễn Hung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Mai Liem notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Argravy's Lê Tran. Lê Tran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lê Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Thi Ngoc, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 42 played minutes Argravy got a freekick which was hit by Phan Hoai. In the 43rd minute Trần Thi Ngoc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Argravy's Nguyễn Dinh got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Trần Thi Ngoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Argravy's Lê Tran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Argravy from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
In the 54th minute, Nguyễn Nga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hue fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Lê Hoang came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Argravy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lê Hoang couldn't finish the play. Lê Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Thi Ngoc, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Nguyễn Hung's late challenge caught a Argravy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Hung helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hue getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nguyễn Hung hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Hue:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Argravy:s goal. The referee gave Argravy a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dương Mai, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hue's Nguyễn Phuc. 3-2. 82 minutes into the game, Trần Thi Ngoc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Lê Tran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hue's Nguyễn Phuc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Hue from getting a goal against them. Lê Hoang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nguyễn Phuc came out and tried to block the shot, but Lê Hoang slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 87th minute. In the 92nd minute, Argravy's Trần Nga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-4. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hue fans cheered their team off the field, for while Argravy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
