The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Hung's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tạ Bien was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Hue's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phan Than was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Nguyễn Hung might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tạ Bien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Hung ran back to his position shaking his head. Trần Loc got his second yellow card in the match during the 97th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Hue booed when Chu Son was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball.
