With a left leg Lê Khoi saved Hà Nội from getting behind. 13 minutes into the game, Hà Nội's Vương Thanh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Phuoc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A hard shot 19 in the game by Đỗ Tu from a close distance when the talented Lê Khoi managed to make a qualified save. Hà Nội's players were relieved. After having played for 20 minutes, Lê Dinh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KC FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Dinh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Đỗ Tu might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lê Khoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Đỗ Tu ran back to his position shaking his head. Nguyễn Phuoc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đặng Hoa in the 24th minute of play. Lê Khoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Dinh in the 27th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vương Thanh in the 84th minute of play forced KC FC's goalkeeper Nguyễn Phuoc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, KC FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Đặng Hoa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nguyễn Phuoc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vương Thanh in the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Đỗ Tu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KC FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
