In the 10th minute of the match Văn Khoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Tuyet skillfully saved the ball. If Tạ Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Binh Phuoc booed when Cam Ranh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chung Quang Thanh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hoàng Mai struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Chung Thanh Bình didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cam Ranh. If Nguyễn Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trần Tuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tạ Tuan in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Binh Phuoc's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Mai came free, but Chung Thanh Bình reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Nam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Trần Tuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nguyễn Cuc came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Cam Ranh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Cuc couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Trần Tuyet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 48 minutes into the match, Binh Phuoc's Tạ Tuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trần Tuyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Binh Phuoc's Chung Thanh Bình got control of the ball when Nguyễn Cuc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trần Tuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tạ Tuan in the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Binh Phuoc's Tạ Tuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trần Tuyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hoàng Mai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chung Thanh Bình having to make a save. Nguyễn Minh-ha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chung Thanh Bình. Binh Phuoc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hoàng Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Binh Phuoc's Chung Thanh Bình played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hoàng Mai in the 94th minute of play.
