Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vương Xuan took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's Vương Xuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Huỳnh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nguyễn Huỳnh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vương Xuan in the 6th minute of the match. Nguyễn Huỳnh came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Thua Thien-Hue's Đặng Hung. But to his dismay, Đặng Hung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Phan Xuan came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Binh Dinh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phan Xuan couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Phan Xuan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nguyễn Thuyet. The goal made the score 1-1. After a rather tough play, Binh Dinh's Nguyễn Xuan got a free kick in the 29th minute. Đỗ Huy, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lưu Tu charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lưu Tu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Binh Dinh! In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Thua Thien-Hue. Đỗ Huy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nguyễn Huỳnh. 1-3. After 36 played minutes Thua Thien-Hue got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Duy. In the 37th minute, Lưu Tu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Thua Thien-Hue's Nguyễn Thuyet didn't even have to move. Binh Dinh's Phan Xuan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vương Xuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vương Xuan in the 47th minute of play forced Binh Dinh's goalkeeper Nguyễn Huỳnh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The crowd rose to their feet as Thua Thien-Hue's Hoàng Lam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nguyễn Huỳnh. That made the score 1-4 after 51 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Trần Bay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thua Thien-Hue's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Bay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Huỳnh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Đặng Hung took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Huỳnh. Nguyễn Huỳnh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 63rd minute, Vương Xuan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nguyễn Huỳnh. The goal made the score 1-6. Đặng Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thua Thien-Hue's Đặng Hung got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vương Xuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Nguyễn Huỳnh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Đặng Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the game, Thua Thien-Hue's Nguyễn Duy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Huỳnh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Phan Minh-ha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thuyet having to interfere. Nguyễn Huỳnh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vương Xuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hoàng Lam came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nguyễn Huỳnh could save by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Binh Dinh's Phan Minh-ha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Thuyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
